doors to additional job opportunities.
Two Rewarding Career Paths
Pharmacy Technicians, sometimes called Pharmacy Assistants, are important members of the healthcare community, assisting Pharmacists to dispense medication and other healthcare products to patients. Pharmacy professionals are a much needed lifeline for those who are ill, in pain, chronically or otherwise injured, or those who face other health issues such as allergies and infections.
A Phlebotomist is a medical professional who is trained to obtain blood samples from patients by venipuncture (from a vein). Lab Technicians perform
clinical laboratory tests and play an important role in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of disease.
Graduates of this program feel comfortable working in both Pharmacy and Clinical Lab situations and are able to pursue job opportunities as they arise in either of these rewarding medical specialties.
