Student Services
Advanced Placement and Transfer of Credit
Students may transfer credits from post-secondary institutions that are accredited by an agency recognized by the U. S. Department of Education. A transcript must be presented with credits earned in the last seven years with a grade of ”C” or higher. The course must be included in the program in which the student is enrolling. Students may also request to test out of some of the basic courses based upon prior work experience. There is a $25.00 fee for the administration of each placement exam. A student can be placed out of no more than four courses in any one program of study. A request for advanced placement must be completed in writing prior to admission to the school and prior to the first day of class. Tuition will be adjusted by multiplying the number of clock hours in the subject scheduled at CCI by the average hourly rate for the program.
Permission to advance to the next subject may be granted by the school director.
An advanced placement decision may be appealed to the school director in writing before the student enrolls. The school director will answer the appeal in writing.
Advanced placement reduces the amount available for financial aid.
If a student wishes to attempt to transfer credit to another institution, CCI will provide the student with a transcript and course syllabus if the charges for all tuition, fees, and books have been paid.
Students with Disabilities
CCI Training Center is an equal opportunity establishment providing services and employment opportunities on the basis of merit, and with no distinction on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, or disability. Students with special needs will need approval by director. The school has a policy to provide reasonable accommodations as applicable in compliance with ADA guidelines. School facilities meet all the requirements of ADA.
